Tim Grace is a well known angler in Raystown Country. Local citizens of Huntingdon first became acquainted with him when his picture appeared frequently in area newspapers and magazine articles  with one large fish after another.

  He was first well known for his ability to land the relatively unexplored Lake Trout in Raystown Lake.

  As stories of his success spread, it was acknowledged that if you wanted to land lake trout...Tim was the man to see. Even today as the striper-mania begins to wane in November, people line up to schedule one of his great  Lake Trout trips.

  When Tim decided to pursue stripers, he set about it with his usual tenacity that left the fish wondering what had hit them. Tim will be the first to tell you that it takes several years to fully learn Raystown Lake and it's striper fishery and to be able to consistently boat fish. He will also tell you that the time and effort spent doing so are far outweighed by the thrill of fighting and landing these big hard fighting fish!  

  Tim has never been interested in fishing tournaments. In fact Striper Guide Service does  not fish tournaments. Tim has nothing against tournaments but he is much too busy to fish them. He receives as much gratification from watching an excited client land a big striper as  landing one himself. As many of his repeat customers can tell you, Tim works diligently to get fish in the boat. He has set a goal for Striper Guide Service which is to see that as many of his clients as possible experiences that excitement!  In fact many of them have purchased boats and even property in the Raystown area so they can fish it on a regular basis !

  Tim's passion for chasing stripers over the years has developed into a full time occupation that he has devoted his life to. During the off season when he is not on the water he is working with the Raystown Striper Club in their efforts to protect, promote and enhance the striper fishery on Raystown Lake.

  Tim's diversity in angling expertise has also allowed him to set new standards for other species. In 1993 his catch became a new standard in the Pennsylvania State Records Program. His Landlocked Atlantic Salmon became the first in this new category and remains the current record today!
